Spring Fling Recap

Ahoy LSYC Members,

We had a great time at this year’s Spring Fling Regatta, held last weekend at Stockton Lake! Although our turnout was on the smaller side, with just JAM and Spinnaker boats participating, the racing on Saturday more than made up for it.

Saturday delivered a great sailing day with 10 knots of wind, a bit shifty at times, but overall consistent enough for some exciting competition. Unfortunately, Sunday brought calm conditions with no wind, and we had to cancel racing for the day. Still, we wrapped up the weekend with solid racing and great camaraderie.

Also, a big thank you to Todd for organizing the burgers and brat's cookout on Saturday evening! It was a great time for racers and members alike to get together, enjoy some food, and swap sailing stories. Events like this are what make our club such a fun and welcoming community.

Mark your calendars! The Cruising Series kicks off on Friday, June 21st. This will be a pursuit start race, and we’ll be posting individualized start times for your boats during the week of the race. Whether you're racing competitively or just out for fun, we’d love to have you join us.

After the race, join us for the Cruising Series Kickoff Party at Shark Park starting at 6:00 PM! It's a great chance to relax, catch up with friends, and celebrate the start of the season.
