Well, here we are—October, the unofficial final month of the LSYC season.

But don’t put the boat away just yet! ⛵ We still have racing, gumbo, and one last chance to get the LSYC crew together before we wrap up

another great season on Stockton Lake.

Here’s what’s coming up:

🏆 October 3 – The Ron Plymate Cup

We kick off the month with the Ron Plymate Cup, a Cruiser Series distance race. Check the usual places for your official start time, grab your crew, and come enjoy some fall sailing on Stockton Lake.

🥣 October 10 – The Gumbo Cup!

One of our favorite LSYC traditions is back!

The Gumbo Cup is a single-handed Cruiser Series race—just you, your boat, and whatever October decides to throw at you.

After the racing, everyone gets together for the Famous Gumbo! Even if you aren’t racing, come join us for the food, stories, and fun.

⚓ October 24 – LSYC Year-End Meeting

We’ll close out the month with our LSYC Year-End Meeting at Orleans Trail Restaurant.

Everyone is encouraged to attend. It’s a chance to look back at the season, talk about what’s ahead, and help shape another great year for LSYC.

The calendar may say the season is winding down, but we’re not done yet!

Come race. Come eat. Come participate.

We’ll see you at the lake!
