2025 LSYC Opening Cruise Race Recap

The 2025 Lake Stockton Yacht Club cruising season officially kicked off this past weekend with the Opening Cruise Race. While the wind delivered plenty of excitement—gusts topping over 30 knots—Mother Nature may have kept a few boats at the dock, resulting in a smaller-than-usual fleet of four racers.

Despite the blustery conditions, those who did race showed determination and seamanship as they navigated the gusty course. Congratulations to the crews who braved the wind:

A big thank you to all participants for helping us launch the season with spirit and grit. We’re looking forward to seeing more sails on the water as the series continues and the weather settles down!
