About the event
Fleet Day! This one is back by popular demand. Simply grab your friends and family and get your boat out of the slip at 11:00. We all sail around (no handicapping or bouys needed!) this afternoon and fill the lake with our boats. Take pictures for the photo contest! Then monitor Ch 72 and we will choose a place to raft up. Bring your floaties, coozies, and muchies!
Not yet comfortable rafting to others? Remember FLOATS: Fenders, Lines, Observe, Approach, Tie Up, Stagger
Fenders: The polite thing to do is to put out your fenders if you are joining a stationary boat.
Lines: Same thing, your lines at the ready.
Observe: Check for swimmers, ensure you are not creating a wake, and verify with the boat you are tying to which side you will be docking.
Approach: Prepare your fenders and lines on the appropriate side as you get closer.…
